The charity benefiting from “The Greatest Christmas Ever” is The National Coalition for the Homeless, www.nationalhomeless.org. $1.00 of every book sold was going to be donated to them, but we decided, because we are not selling the book, to ask for donations to this organization. A donation is not needed to get “The Greatest Christmas Ever”, but The National Coalition for the Homeless would surely appreciate it.
The National Coalition for the Homeless is committed to a single mission. That mission is to end homelessness. They are committed to creating the systemic and attitudinal changes necessary to prevent and end homelessness. At the same time, they work to meet the immediate needs of people who are currently experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of doing so. The National Coalition for the Homeless engages in public education and policy advocacy. They focus work in the following 4 areas: housing justice, economic justice, health care justice, and civil rights.
